InsightEV strives to be the knowledge and analysis source for stakeholders in the electric two-wheelers and urban mobility industry. We are a research hub closely monitoring the happenings in the E2W and urban mobility industry globally.
InsightEV started in May 2024 as a weekly newsletter on Substack. You read this now on a self-hosted website, powered by Ghost. We publish multiple times a week with at least one long-form analysis or interview with an industry leader every Thursday.
We are rather serious people. We don’t waste our time…and your time…in talking about things that daily news outlets, blogs, and influencers capture better than we do. We are more concerned about the behind-the-scenes dynamics, the component-level understanding, and the technology trends, and we highlight any concerns in what we see.
At the same time, don’t expect any breaking news, scoops, or insider info from us. That would be baked into our analysis and is part of the process but not important for our mission.

Electric two-wheelers (E2Ws) and urban mobility hold a great promise to impact mankind. Across the world, more than 60 million two-wheelers were sold last year, give or take a few million. While most remain Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) driven, E2Ws and E3Ws have steadily carved a strong niche for themselves. Intelligent and informed people believe that E2Ws would have a more profound impact on humankind and the environment, much more than electric cars with 41” touchscreens.
Monetisation
InsightEV is free for now. We want to keep the site without advertisements. Our readers are industry stakeholders, and we want to keep the site clutter-free to offer the best experience.
In the future, we plan to move to a subscription model. We would still offer specific general interest stories to all readers while moving the rest to a subscription plan.
