Niu stunned EICMA with the Concept 06 concept. This is a feet-forward maxi scooter concept that, if it makes it to production, would be Niu’s biggest and most powerful scooter yet.

The largest Niu yet (if it makes it to production), this would also be the most capable in terms of speed and tech

Niu has put a 20 kW side-mounted motor into the ‘flagship’ scooter and claims a 155 kph top speed.

There is a lot of real estate, and this should be able to pack a 6-9 kWh pack

There are no details about the battery or range yet, but there is enough real estate to put a 6-9 kWh fixed battery pack.

With the concept, Niu has also unveiled the Linx OS system, which is a leap forward for the company. This rides on a new 9.3″ TFT touchscreen

Niu stunned EICMA
Special mention to the switchgear; they are all-new with a large rotary knob on the right side and a rotary dial on the left side.

Niu has managed to give its circular ‘Ring’ headlamp a modern touch. It is more slanted in Concept 06, though it manages to retain the Niu signature design.

The headlamps are all new, though they manage to retain the signature Niu design identity.

Other features include an electrically adjustable windscreen. So are the handlebars that can be raised or lowered to suit the rider’s height.

The finer details include a camera integrated into the cockpit and angled towards the driver. We don’t know if this is for facial recognition or helmet presence identification.
