The Royal Enfield Flying Flea brand is eagerly awaited. The new sub-brand, created for the Indian-manufacturer’s electric foray, had unveiled its first motorcycle in November 2024. This was the C6 roadster. Unlike other Royal Enfield motorcycles, which are recognisable for their retro-heavy looks, the Flying Flea C6 has a smaller, narrower profile. Undoubtedly, road presence has been sacrificed for practicality.

Flying Flea C6 was unveiled a year back

In November 2024, we discussed the Flying Flea and why Royal Enfield needs the brand.

Why Royal Enfield needs to go electric – InsightEV
On the face of it, Royal Enfield, the India-based British heritage ICE brand, should be the last brand to do an electric motorcycle.

The C6 is a roadster with the main talking point, the girder fork. The forks give the motorcycle an exquisite look, and combined with the magnesium battery casing, give the Flying Flea a ‘lighter’ look.

It may also be an expensive item on the BoM cost list.

It also didn’t help that the C6 is a solo rider machine, though RE is good at hiding makeshift pillion seats inside the rider saddle.

The FF S6

At EICMA 2025, RE unveiled the second model under the Flying Flea brand. This is the S6 Scrambler. Carrying the same battery pack, motor, E&E, and most cycle parts, the S6’s main differentiating element is the use of regular USD forks at the front, dual-purpose tires, spoked wheels, and an enduro-style seat.

the S6 trades the C6’s girder forks setup for conventional USD forks

Most importantly, the CMF on the S6 makes it appear more practical when compared to the jewel-like C6. Between the two, we see more volumes coming from the S6 than the C6, though Europe may be a different story altogether.
